Band 5 Children and Young Peoples Occupational Therapist  

We are delighted that we are expanding our PEOPLES Occupational Therapy team with a new Band 5 position. PEOPLES Occupational Therapy is an Occupational Therapy practice working in and around North West London providing support for children and young people to engage in occupations that they need and want to do.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist excited to work with children and young people aged 1 - 25 years. You will work across a range of settings including mainstream and special schools and nurseries, as well as in families’ homes, working within the tiered model (specialist, targeted and universal) of Occupational Therapy delivery.

This post is suited to a therapist who is innovative, driven, and able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

 

As part of the role, you will have opportunities for agile working arrangements including working from home for administrative duties, and flexible work arrangements when possible.

 

You will benefit from regular training and supervision from specialist Occupational Therapist Dr Teresa Joyce, and outside sources.

Essential requirements: A BSc or MSc Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and a valid UK driving license.

 

Desirable Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, memberships of the RCOT and/or special interest groups, a good understanding of the tiered model of Occupational Therapy delivery, a good understanding of sensory processing and motor development; a good understanding of Neurodevelopmental Disorder in particular Autism Spectrum Condition.
